Defining dormitory crimes experienced by the residents.


There is no perfect place in the world. Even there are such mouthwatering places in the world, a thing can't be deny- No place can we consider perfect.When we say perfect world, it was free of discrimination,  poverty and crimes. Crime can be defined as evil act that can be punishable or not punishable by law. It was an act of people against or at will consider the fact that they know what will be the consequences.
Crimes can be found anywhere, inside and outside the community or even at home. As a student spending times in studying, we currently residing at a place may that we called our third home. Third home for we have considered the home with our family as the first and the second was the school. This place was called dormitory. Since fourth year after I decided to reside to this place. And I can say that I have witnessed different activities and happenings inside and outside the premises.


Defining Dormitory Crimes.


Dormitory crimes punishable by law- let’s talk about this first. There are such crimes happened in the dormitory that actually done outside the community. Let’s enumerate these.

Stealing

Stealing- the act of getting others properties without the permission of the owner intentionally. Despite the reasons for this, it doesn't excuse the act done. It was against the law. If we compare the recent law to earlier law, once you committed and proven responsible for the act such punish like amputation of hands or soaking in hot boiling water to death will be given.Nowadays violators in the dormitory, once proven the responsibility of the act will be punish expulsion in the dorm if heavy and suspension for number of months depend upon the weight of the act.

Bullying resulting to mauling or harassment.

Harassment-the act of tormenting by continued persistent attacks and criticism. There are different kinds of this, that be consider punishable by law. One of these is sexual abuse. Sexual abuse for it a statutory offense that provides that it is a crime to knowingly cause another person to engage in an unwanted sexual act by force or threat. It also present in dormitories for both men and “gays” are mixed up in the dormitory. This act may be done by the man toward “gays” or third sex or in vice versa. This act may cause trauma and other related effects in the victim, physically, mentally and emotionally.

Mauling- this was the act which the victim was injured badly by beating. This was one of the major crimes in the dormitory for the victim suffered physical injuries. This act can be reported and may seek judicial processes.




Dormitory crimes may be not punishable by law
These are those act consider as crime but not so offensive. The examples of this are as follows:

Making ones looks funny or pitiful after intoxicating intentionally- this is one of the common evil acts done by the dorm residents to their co-dormitory. Sometimes they are doing this act just for fun or what we called “trip for pleasure”. This offends the victims but sometimes ignored for it doesn't hurt their feeling enough to do judicial action.

Vandalism

Vandalism or drawing such offensive images on the wall or others properties- drawing such images on other co-dormitory resident’s property or in the dorm property can be consider against the law but it also consider as minor offenses that doesn't need to be in court.


Act of indecent- this is the offensive to good taste especially in sexual matters or offending against sexual mores in conduct or appearance. This is common to those people that we call “pervert” or those people that act indecent or against the moral politeness in society. Example of this was showing vulgar gesture that sometimes offend ones feeling or personality.




Defamation-this defines as a false accusation of an offense or a malicious misrepresentation of someone's words or actions or an abusive attack on a person's character or good name. This is common to those residents that have misunderstanding or people who insecure to the victim. This was commonly done by saying such stories that actually not happen. This was the way of breaking ones societal position.
